Now hiring: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Deer Lodge County, Montana. You will work at an aluminium die-casting plant. The role involves: • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity You should have: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection 1+ years on the tools preferred.
