Immediate opening: we are hiring a heavy goods vehicle driver in Montgomery County, North Carolina. Day to day you will log working hours on the tachograph and swap driver cards; couple and uncouple the trailer and check the fifth-wheel lock; check load weight and axle distribution against permitted limits; report defects and book the unit in for servicing; reverse and carry out blind-side manoeuvres at loading bays. Ideal candidate: • Clean driving record with no recent endorsements • Good knowledge of driving-hours and tachograph rules Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
