Great opportunity: shakeout operator (Georgia)

Now hiring: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Wilkinson County, Georgia. You will be based in the melting bay of a steel foundry. On a typical shift you will prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity. Ideal candidate: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Walk-in interviews this week.
