We are recruiting: ladle pourer (Kentucky)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a ladle pourer in Grayson County, Kentucky. You will be based in the fettling and dressing shop. On the job you will handle: • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle Requirements: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
