Trowel-trade bricklayer • McCormick County, South Carolina

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a trowel-trade bricklayer in McCormick County, South Carolina. The job is on a new-build development. You should have: • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) On the job you will handle: • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge Rotating shifts.
