Now hiring: we are hiring a gang bricklayer in Bradford, England. You will be based on a busy housing site. Day-to-day duties: • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel Ideal candidate: • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) Full-time with occasional weekends. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Pay around £95 per day, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
