Concrete placer — Concordia Parish

Vacancy available: we are hiring a concrete placer in Concordia Parish, Louisiana. On a typical shift you will fix and tie reinforcement bars and mesh as per the bar bending schedule; compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing; set out levels with a spirit level, line and pins; cut control and expansion joints at the correct spacing; screed and level slabs to the marked dead level and falls; discharge and place concrete from transit mixers and pumps into the forms. Ideal candidate: • Hands-on with poker vibrators, power floats and concrete mixers • ITI in masonry or civil work an added advantage • Willing to wear safety boots, helmet and full PPE 2+ years on the tools preferred. $3,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
