You should have: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Able to pass a weld test on the spot The role involves: • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
