Steel fixing chargehand — Newton County

Join our team: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in Newton County, Indiana. The job is at a rebar fabrication workshop. Day-to-day duties: • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat • Read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder You should have: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates Rotating shifts.
