Join our team: we are hiring a horizontal milling machine operator in Chautauqua County, Kansas. The job is at a busy machine shop. Requirements: • Good eyesight and steady hands for close-tolerance work • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges Day to day you will set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter; carry out daily lubrication and routine machine maintenance; load and edit CNC programs (G-code) at the Fanuc/Siemens control; read engineering drawings and GD&T to plan the machining sequence; measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges. 3+ years on the tools preferred.
