Refrigeration installation technician • Cochran County, Texas

Vacancy available: we are hiring a refrigeration installation technician in Cochran County, Texas. You will be based in an HVAC service company. Ideal candidate: • Able to braze copper and silver-solder joints • Physically fit to lift compressors and carry ladders Day-to-day duties: • Recover refrigerant gas before opening a sealed system • Check superheat and subcooling and trim the charge • Install and commission cold rooms, walk-in freezers and display cabinets • Fault-find control boards and defrost timers • Braze copper pipework and joints with an oxy-acetylene torch • Measure the compressor motor's amperage draw with a clamp meter Full-time with occasional weekends.
