Immediate opening: we are hiring an occupational health and safety officer in West Feliciana Parish, Louisiana. The job is at a busy construction site. You will check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements; record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date; investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports; stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action; verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates; carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift. Requirements: • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training • NEBOSH, IOSH or a recognised OHS certificate • Minimum 2-3 years on construction or factory sites At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off. Overtime paid at a premium rate. We offer $3,300 per month plus benefits. Contact us to fix an interview.
