Great opportunity: we are hiring a tig welder in Yakima County, Washington. On a typical shift you will grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp. Requirements: • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
