Aluminium workshop fabricator • City of Charlottesville, Virginia

Vacancy available: we are hiring an aluminium workshop fabricator in City of Charlottesville, Virginia. You will work on a residential building site. You will fix handles, hinges, friction stays, locks and multipoint hardware; check frames for plumb, level and square before fixing; read fabrication drawings and take site measurements for windows and doors; crimp the corner joints and fit corner cleats on the crimping machine; load and offload fabricated units without scratching the finish; cut aluminium profiles to size on a double-mitre cutting saw. Ideal candidate: • Accurate to the millimetre on cuts and mitre joints • Physically able to lift and carry heavy glass and profiles • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding and ladders Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
