Aluminium tig welder — Pike County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Pike County, Arkansas. You will work on an industrial construction site. Your main tasks: • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion Requirements: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Own basic hand tools and PPE 1+ years on the tools preferred.
