Sheet metal welder • Delaware County, New York

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a sheet metal welder in Delaware County, New York. You will work on a structural steel site. Day to day you will strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; keep the arc length and travel speed consistent; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through. What we are looking for: • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. Full-time, day shift. Meals and transport allowance provided. We offer $130 per day plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
