Plasterer's mate • Sierra County, New Mexico

Vacancy available: we are hiring a plasterer's mate in Sierra County, New Mexico. The job is at a plastering and dry lining contractor. The role involves: • Patch and repair cracked, blown or hollow plaster • Polish the final coat with a steel trowel and water brush • Set up trestles and scaffold boards for ceiling work • Dub out hollows and uneven areas before skimming • Skim plasterboard to a smooth finish ready for decoration Requirements: • Knowledge of different plasters, renders and bonding agents • Physically fit for lifting bags of plaster and mixing all day • Proven experience hand-skimming and floating to a flat finish Performance bonus on top of base pay.
