Immediate opening: we are hiring a cement mason in Hartlepool, England. You will work at a ready-mix concrete plant. You should have: • Willing to wear safety boots, helmet and full PPE • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods • Able to work to tight pour schedules and night pours Day to day you will discharge and place concrete from transit mixers and pumps into the forms; float and trowel surfaces with a bull float and power trowel for a smooth finish; cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days; lay PCC blinding and the damp-proof membrane over the prepared subgrade. Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. We offer £1,800 per month plus benefits. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Part-time with flexible hours. Contact us to fix an interview.
