Day to day you will sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; keep the arc length and travel speed consistent; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Able to pass a weld test on the spot Full-time with occasional weekends.
