Quality assurance assistant wanted in Borough of Thurrock

Now hiring: we are hiring a quality assurance assistant in Borough of Thurrock, England. The job is at a food processing unit. The role involves segregate and quarantine defective or out-of-tolerance items; check visually for scratches, dents, burrs and colour variation; inspect welds, paint finish and surface defects under inspection lighting; measure finished parts with vernier callipers, micrometers and go/no-go gauges; verify dimensions against the tolerance limits on the technical drawing; draw samples from batches according to AQL sampling plans. Ideal candidate: • Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping • Willing to work rotating and night shifts • Prior experience as a QC inspector in manufacturing Six days a week, one day off.
