Excavator operator wanted in Scott County

Join our team: we are hiring an excavator operator in Scott County, Virginia. You will work in an open-cast mine. Your main tasks: • Operate the boom, stick and bucket to dig, lift and place material • Excavate trenches and foundations to the marked depths and grade levels • Carry out daily pre-start checks on engine oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid and track tension • Level and grade the road sub-base to the surveyor's pegs and string lines • Check for underground cables and services before digging What we are looking for: • Knowledge of pre-start inspections and basic machine maintenance • Willing to work at remote sites and mines on a roster • Able to operate excavator, loader and dozer confidently Performance bonus on top of base pay.
