Argon arc welder wanted in Cass County

Great opportunity: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Cass County, Michigan. You will be based in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. On the job you will handle: • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish You should have: • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
