We are recruiting: we are hiring a furnace operator in Tazewell County, Virginia. You will be based at a busy iron foundry. You should have: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings On the job you will handle: • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle 6+ years on the tools preferred.
