Slinger signaller — Chase County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a slinger signaller in Chase County, Kansas. You will be based at a shipyard. You will take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio. What we are looking for: • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness Pay around $4,000 per project, based on your experience.
