Digger driver — City of Lexington

Join our team: we are hiring a digger driver in City of Lexington, Virginia. The job is at a drainage and utilities contractor. The role involves lift and place pipes, manholes and precast sections with the bucket and chains; keep the cab clean and oil-free and report defects promptly; backfill trenches and compact the fill in layers; dig foundation trenches and footings to the marked depths and levels; inspect tracks, bucket teeth and pins for wear before start-up; grade, level and batter slopes to the required gradient. Requirements: • Own PPE — safety boots, hi-vis and hard hat • Good awareness of underground services and exclusion zones Full-time with occasional weekends. Performance bonus on top of base pay.
