Join our team: we are hiring a retail butcher in Lafayette Parish, Louisiana. The role involves: • Vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Season and marinate meat on request • Run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone • Stuff and link fresh sausages with casings What we are looking for: • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry Rotating shifts. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Walk-in interviews this week.
