Lift mechanic • Elk County, Kansas

Great opportunity: we are hiring a lift mechanic in Elk County, Kansas. The job is on a lift modernisation project. You will set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear; mount and align landing doors, sills and car door operators; rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables; top up the oil and bleed the cylinder on hydraulic lifts; install guide rails, brackets and counterweight frames in the hoistway. Ideal candidate: • Valid driving licence for site call-outs • Comfortable working at height and in confined hoistways • ITI in electrical/mechanical or an equivalent trade certificate Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours. $4,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
