Vacancy available: we are hiring a lift maintenance fitter in Western Connecticut Planning Region, Connecticut. The job is in a hospital with heavy lift traffic. Requirements: • Working knowledge of EN 81 / IS 14665 lift safety standards • Comfortable working at height and in confined hoistways • Willing to join the on-call/emergency breakdown rota Your main tasks: • Replace worn sheaves, rollers, contactors and relays • Install guide rails, brackets and counterweight frames in the hoistway • Service the traction motor, brake and gearbox • Run load and overload tests with test weights • Set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear Part-time with flexible hours.
