Mechanical press operator — Yakutat City and Borough

Immediate opening: we are hiring a mechanical press operator in Yakutat City and Borough, Alaska. You will work in a sheet metal stamping unit. Your main tasks: • Top up the press hydraulic oil and grease the slide ways • Operate mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic power presses • Load metal sheets, blanks and coils onto the press bed • Feed blanks into the die and remove formed parts • Carry out first-off inspection and report rejects to the supervisor • Deburr and stack finished components for the next operation What we are looking for: • Familiar with die setting and quick tool changes • Can use vernier calipers, micrometers and go/no-go gauges Six days a week, one day off. $2,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
