Urgent requirement: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Lake and Peninsula Borough, Alaska. You will be based in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. The role involves strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding. Ideal candidate: • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Own basic hand tools and PPE Rotating shifts. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
