Immediate opening: shuttering carpenter (New York)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a shuttering carpenter in Jefferson County, New York. You will be based on a residential housebuilding project. The role involves build and erect roof trusses, rafters and stud partitions; fix studwork and plasterboard partitions; check work for level, plumb and square with a spirit level; measure and mark out timber using a tape, square and marking gauge; finish surfaces with varnish, wax, lacquer or wood stain. What we are looking for: • Confident with hand and power tools such as saws, routers and planers • Accurate to fine tolerances on finish work • Own basic hand tools Rotating shifts.
