Day-to-day duties: • Secure loads with ratchet straps, chains and load bars • Keep a safe following distance, adjusting for weather and load • Plan routes and rest stops in line with driving-hours rules • Complete delivery notes, CMR paperwork and proof-of-delivery • Check load weight and axle distribution against permitted limits • Reverse and carry out blind-side manoeuvres at loading bays Requirements: • Current Driver CPC qualification card • Valid digital tachograph card • Confident with manual handling and load securing 4+ years on the tools preferred.
