Gas metal arc welder • Stevens County, Kansas

Now hiring: we are hiring a gas metal arc welder in Stevens County, Kansas. You will be based in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. The role involves weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions; set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator; maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose; load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls; set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness; change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch. What we are looking for: • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Pay around $21 per hour, based on your experience. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
