Now hiring: we are hiring a brickwork mason in Bienville Parish, Louisiana. You will work at a residential building site. Requirements: • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one The role involves buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod; pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints; erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts. 2+ years on the tools preferred.
