Ideal candidate: • Ability to read electrical and wiring schematics • Willing to join the on-call/emergency breakdown rota • Comfortable working at height and in confined hoistways The role involves: • Carry out planned preventive maintenance and grease the guide shoes • Service the traction motor, brake and gearbox • Top up the oil and bleed the cylinder on hydraulic lifts • Mount and align landing doors, sills and car door operators • Test buffers, final limit switches and the emergency brake • Set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. $4,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
