Sausage maker wanted in Jefferson Parish

Vacancy available: we are hiring a sausage maker in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana. You will work in a supermarket meat department. Day-to-day duties: • Season and marinate meat on request • Take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking • Vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders • Keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled You should have: • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • Clean, presentable and friendly at the counter • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry Full-time, day shift.
