Vacancy available: occupational health and safety officer (Kansas)

Great opportunity: we are hiring an occupational health and safety officer in Haskell County, Kansas. The job is in a chemical processing unit. Ideal candidate: • Clear spoken delivery for toolbox talks and inductions • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training Your main tasks: • Take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry • Check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements • Ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site • Deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors • Stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action • Update the risk register and method statements (RAMS) Rotating shifts.
