Great opportunity: we are hiring a ladle pourer in Enugu North, Enugu State. You will work in the melting bay of a steel foundry. On the job you will handle: • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity You should have: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
