Join our team: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Matagorda County, Texas. You will work in the melting bay of a steel foundry. You should have: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Basic grinding and fettling skills You will pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring. 1+ years on the tools preferred. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
