Great opportunity: we are hiring a metal caster in Rankin County, Mississippi. You will work at a brass and bronze foundry. You should have: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal The role involves: • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
