Machinist • Franklin County, Alabama

Vacancy available: we are hiring a machinist in Franklin County, Alabama. You will be based on a ready-made garment production line. On the job you will handle: • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go Requirements: • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens Full-time, day shift.
