Immediate opening: we are hiring a furnace operator in Langtang North, Plateau State. The job is at a busy iron foundry. On a typical shift you will operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor ₦100,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
