Now hiring: we are hiring an occupational health and safety officer in Orange County, Texas. You will work at a manufacturing plant. Your main tasks: • Deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors • Update the risk register and method statements (RAMS) • Stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action • Run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry • Investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports • Ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site Ideal candidate: • Strong record-keeping and incident-reporting skills • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot Rotating shifts. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Walk-in interviews this week.
