What we are looking for: • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training • Comfortable working at height and inside confined spaces Day-to-day duties: • Stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action • Audit housekeeping and barricading around excavations and open edges • Run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points • Run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry • Take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry • Verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates Part-time with flexible hours.
