Blocklayer • Lowndes County, Mississippi

Join our team: we are hiring a blocklayer in Lowndes County, Mississippi. Day to day you will bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod; forming arches, piers and reveals around openings; mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go; erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts. What we are looking for: • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. $2,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Meals and transport allowance provided. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
