Requirements: • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces The role involves: • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight • Coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Read lift plans and method statements before starting Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
