Great opportunity: cabinet maker (New York)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a cabinet maker in Columbia County, New York. The job is on a commercial fit-out site. Day-to-day duties: • Build and erect roof trusses, rafters and stud partitions • Finish surfaces with varnish, wax, lacquer or wood stain • Cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet • Assemble bespoke and flat-pack kitchen units and fit worktops • Measure and mark out timber using a tape, square and marking gauge You should have: • Physically fit to lift, kneel and work at height • NVQ Level 2/3 in Carpentry and Joinery or equivalent • Sound knowledge of timber types, grades and fixings At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
