Join our team: we are hiring a press machine operator in City of Galax, Virginia. Day-to-day duties: • Report breakdowns to the maintenance fitter • Measure parts with vernier calliper, micrometer and go/no-go gauges • Load raw material and feed stock into the machine hopper • Carry out daily clean-down and 5S of the work station • Run the first-off piece and check it against the drawing • Key in cycle parameters such as speed, feed rate and temperature What we are looking for: • Able to stand for long hours on the shop floor • Comfortable using vernier, micrometer and gauges • Able to read job cards and basic engineering drawings 6+ years on the tools preferred.
