Great opportunity: we are hiring a gtaw welder in DeKalb County, Tennessee. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through Day to day you will clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp. Rotating shifts. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Walk-in interviews this week.
