Brick mason wanted in Madison County

Now hiring: we are hiring a brick mason in Madison County, Mississippi. You will work at a groundworks and structures site. Requirements: • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day On the job you will handle: • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
